SHOPPE HOP

My Scrapbook layout was inspired by my grandson Ki he wears these little T-shirts with these little pockets and I love the little pockets as you can see I want to remember them but most especially Ki. The paper (Reminisce) this is my creation for the Bloghop Challenge the same as the other girls.

My card I made out of my scraps you will notice the blue arrow it was actually my template for the red ones on my scrapbook layout.

Here is my altered item, it is a backpack. You can insert a gift card and then you have gift to go with your card.

Here is the back of my backpack.

I hope you enjoyed... now head on over to see what Shelley created with the same Reminisce papers.

Tea Party

This Tea Party with my granddaughters was very special to me it had been a year since we had seen each other and one thing we love to do together is have tea parties no matter how simple or how fabulious. This time we went to Scrumdiddlyumptious we had pink lemonade in tea cups with cupcakes to eat. To much fun and wonderful memories.

I used K & Company papers. I snipped the birds out and popped them up with foam squares. I cut the tea party image with the Cricut using the cartridge Once Upon a Princess, with K & Company pink polka dots printed paper. I also cut out a matching mat to high light the photo of my oldest granddaughter serving me tea. I have a thing with hands, they are so beautiful in pictures. I matted the girls in light green and also black to draw your attention to my beautiful granddaughters. I added a piece of lace to give the page a little taste of fancy.

I had the pleasure of taking a class during National Scrapbook Day with Gretchen McElveen, a desinger with KI Memories, and was inspired by some of the pages she had created with a large mat in the top portion of the page where you could add two photos. As I was inspired by Gretchen I hope you enjoy my page and that it inspires you to create some art of your own.

Good Reads

THE SHACK
So, I finally finished it. I have to say amid all the controversy over it, I thought I needed to read it for myself. Then a good friend gave me a copy, she had bought it and read as a fiction novel never knowing the controversy surrounding it, she said it was weird and different but to read it.
I had a hard time overcoming the controversy, because I never want to do anything to offend my Lord and Savior. So after reading a small portion of The Shack I set it aside. Yesterday I felt like I needed to finish it and so today it is done.
I have to say for the most part the book looks like a mans struggle with his relationship with God. But there is so much more. I walk away with a new appreciation for how I worship, my relationship with God and my relationship with others. WOW is all I can say. I don't know the road William P. Young has taken to get to where he could write a book with this much feeling and insight, only him and God know.
So if you feel like checking it out go ahead, remember it is fiction it says it on the back cover. Let me know what you think.
